Manufacturing Engineer

Dover Precision Components is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our Inpro/Seal business. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of  permanent bearing protection and complete shaft sealing solutions for a variety of rotating equipment across multiple industries.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this role, you will direct a wide variety of manufacturing engineering activities to develop and improve standards for industrial processes, materials, and products to ensure all customer requirements are met in a cost- efficient manner. Including:

  • Project Management - Design, lead, and implement process improvement projects in a team setting.
  • Research new machinery or technology to advance improvements with production.
  • Help with training production employees on new processes and new equipment or machinery.
  • Operate CAD (SolidWorks) and CAM (GibbsCam) software to make fixtures and test feeds and speeds.
  • Support R&D by offering design changes, including tooling research, and process development. 
  • Work with Operations team to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing daily reports to ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan and implement layouts of plant, office, and production equipment in order to provide the maximum utilization of facilities and efficiency of produciton. 
  • Document standard work including creation of work instructions, recording, and analyzing cycle times, and value stream mapping. 
  • Champion safety values across the facility. 
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize work/ process flow, set-up time reduction, and quick change over. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent work experience (3+ years’) in manufacturing engineering roles. 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement recommendations and implementations.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to proactively manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills such as CNC machining and CAD/CAM technologies and tools.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $85,789 - $93,525 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
