Director of Sales and Operations Planning CPC (Roseville, MN)

Job Summary:

The Director of Sales and Operations Planning, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, is responsible for the architecture of the S&OP process and global implementation at CPC. The Director will drive process development, cross-functional buy-in and accountability, change management, and demand planning.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • S&OP Development and Implementation (50%)
    • Forms a company-wide strategic roadmap to improve S&OP maturity
    • Develop S&OP calendar, meetings, templates, and presentation guidelines
    • Enables process design and adoption through technology and analytics
    • Benchmark S&OP best practices and use best practices during implementation
    • Connects data transfer and actions among cross-functional stakeholders
    • Defines key KPIs to drive continuous improvement; tracks benefits and improvements to the business


  • Change Management and Cross-Functional Engagement (30%)
    • Aligns strategic roadmap and roles and responsibilities with key stakeholders
    • Drives accountability across organization and resolves functional performance or participation gaps
    • Drives an unbiased decision-making process that balances supply and demand to meet L1 KPIs
    • Presents to Executive Leadership on implementation progress and barriers
    • Trains, leads, and mentors others in the S&OP process
    • Help the organization make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, even when data is limited
    • Influences leadership and across functions; clearly presents data, ideas, and initiatives; inspires commitment and support


  • Demand Planning (20%)
    • Drives a consensus demand plan among S&OP stakeholders
    • Drives scenario plans and trade-off decisions to support growth initiatives
    • Develops forecasting methodologies and tools
    • Works with commercial stakeholders on process for gaining customer intel
    • Develops forecasting process for NPI


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, or technical discipline
  • 15 years experience in supply chain
  • 8 years experience in demand planning and S&OP
  • Prior experience implementing and leading a new S&OP process
  • Change management and transformational change experience
  • Strong communicator internally and externally; able to address and resolve problems and conflict with ease
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Ability to use data and standardize the use of data to drive improved decision making


Basic Qualifications:

  • Oracle experience


Supervision: 4 Demand Planners

Travel:            10%
