Job Summary:  

The Director of Strategy owns the development, planning and implementation of both organic and inorganic growth strategies and projects for CPC.  This role is a key member of the leadership team and collaborates with others to drive the organizational strategy, cross functional growth initiatives, merger and acquisition opportunities, and strategic planning work across the global business.  The Director has a high degree of influence and will advise across multiple groups including the CPC Executive Leadership Team members, Dover leadership, and 3rd parties. This role requires a strategic mindset with a high aptitude for ambiguity and change leadership. Additionally, this position brings a structured approach to problem-solving, prioritization and able to leverage strategic, analytical and financial analysis to support key enterprise decisions.  The role reports to the CFO and will oversee staff that includes in-house resources, third-party consultants and will work across the functions to drive anticipated enterprise outcomes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the President, CFO, and Executive Leadership team to develop, drive the execution of, and hold the organization accountable for the 3-year enterprise strategy.  Includes owning the development process, corporate deliverables and ensuring cohesive messaging on specific initiatives to drive growth, productivity, and M&A.
  • Lead key project initiatives that directly support the execution of enterprise strategy including:
    • Lead the planning and execution of global strategic capacity management to drive organizational and operational growth.  Includes footprint design, decisions and project management for all owned and leased production facilities. Develops a plan and leads projects that maximize throughput, minimize constraints and improve or expand capacity through process improvement and standardization.
    • Leads merger and acquisition opportunities.  Partners with leadership to complete due diligence and owns data and synergy analysis.  Works closely with Dover corporate contacts to develop business case for acquisition from development of EOI, LOI, and Board closing approval documents, including working with finance team to build financial models.  Post- close, this position carries the overall CPC knowledge to manage through any major integration questions that arise for clarification.
  • Creates a strategic process excellence team that shapes our X-matrix and ensures cross-functional objectives are aligned and measured to our enterprise strategic plan. Consults on Strategic Goal Deployment “SGD” initiatives with functional leaders and able to drive in-flight or independent enterprise projects that proactively improve delivery, margin and quality.  Drives change with clear accountability and ownership.
  • Establish process to prioritize strategic initiatives and ensure they are properly resourced.  Leads cadence for Executive report outs and KPIs to track project health and remediation activities.



Required Skills and Abilities:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • MBA from a top-tier business school
  • 5+ years of relevant experience post-MBA in strategy or operational consulting firm
  • Experienced in B2B industrial space with multiple go-to-market approaches
    Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in biopharma, medical and or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with M&A including integration
