Job Summary:  

The Director of Human Resources will provide human resource leadership to the growing commercial and corporate functions at CPC. This role will be a trusted advisor and functional expert for senior leaders and will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the talent acquisition; talent management and development; organizational design; succession planning; employee relations; and compensation strategy for the functions.  This position leads a team of Human Resource Business Partners and ensures legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.  The role plays a critical part in driving the employee experience and stewarding CPC culture. The position reports to the VP of Human Resources.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with leadership and the Human Resources team, develop, deploy and drive human resource strategies, initiatives and services to support CPCs goals and annual operation plan objectives in all areas of HR.
  • Lead, coach and develop CPCs growing team of human resource professionals.
  • Foster a positive, dynamic culture where employees have an opportunity to contribute and grow professionally. Create programs that strengthen our engagement strategies.
  • Lead efforts in recruiting top industry talent and developing a deep and diverse talent bench. Address capability gaps to deliver against business strategy.
  • Facilitate regular talent review and succession planning processes and lead the continued evolution of career paths for the various commercial and functional teams.
  • Evolve commercial compensation and incentive programs (e.g. commission and sales incentives) that attract and retain talent and align to business goals and unique go-to-market models.
  • Advise both local management and Human Resources on investigations to ensure compliance with company policy and applicable laws and regulations.  Develop and deploys policies when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with HR across the Dover Corporation, including internationally, to ensure positive employee engagement and experience around the globe.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, such as headcount, turnover, absenteeism, talent, DEI and other key performance indicators as required.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws and regulations (i.e. FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA).


Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related Field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR work experience with emphasis in business partnership working directly with senior leaders
  • 3+ years of management experience directly leading a team
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, biopharma, medical and or industrial manufacturing
    Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience supporting a global business with cross-functional responsibilities
  • Experience leading and designing sales incentives

Travel Requirement:

  • Yes, up to 5% domestic & International
