Inside Sales Lead - Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy

Job Summary: 

The Inside Sales Lead manages the lead identification and qualification, follow up and close processes as a partner with regional sales managers and market specialists to drive revenue growth. The role includes application and customer research, product launch support, CRM data management and channel marketing activities that align market targets with corporate strategy and goal achievement.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads, determine attributes for nurturing or dispatching to distributors, follow up with prospects to ensure timely quality responses to prospects and customers,
  • Partner with CPC sales teams and market specialists to identify prospects, track projects, close sales with Wins, or when Lost monitor and trend reasons why, and account management.
  • Using research tools and lead prospecting analysis, identify product ideas, prospect companies and contacts, and target markets.
  • Participate in sales funnel management meetings, provide information to accelerate or retain sales, identify gaps, follow up activities to fill and expand sales funnel.
  • Measure and report on sales and department metrics and suggest improvements, including measuring an ROI on the inside sales organization
  • Develop, implement, and continuous manage the lead management pipeline and funnel process in the CRM system
  • Liaison with CRM analyst to modify, update, improve CRM work flows, data accuracy and technical requirements.
  • Participate in customer and distribution partner interactions to close sales, and ensure cross-training and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with marketing, business unit managers, product management and the sales organization to facilitate and support new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, biology, or other science discipline
  • Minimum 3 or more years of technical sales experience
  • Minimum 2 or more years of experience in a customer interaction position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of biologics and lab procedures
  • Experience working with CRM systems to manage customer communication processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Skill in communicating priorities, plans and information to employees throughout the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Biopharma or medical device industry experience a plus
