Job Summary: 

The Market Manager will grow the assigned markets by researching and understanding customer needs to develop effective messaging and identify unmet needs.  Position will develop and implement global market development plans in assigned markets.  The position will cultivate relationships with key customers and market leaders to identify trends while working with the global sales team.  Successful person in this position will be comfortable developing messaging for a technical audience in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, and enjoy taking ownership of assigned markets while working collaboratively within all levels of CPC.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) regarding customer expectations and global market requirements for Biopharma and Cell and Gene Therapy markets.
  • Develop strong understanding of products sold into biopharma markets, understand global and regional strategies of CPC competitors and customers.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing annual and long term strategic plans to grow assigned segments (achieved within the broader CPC goals and policies) including:
    • In collaboration with Marcom team, develop key messaging necessary to speak to assigned market segments, create technical, market specific content, and market specific campaigns to increase leads, drive opportunities and grow in global biopharma and cell and gene therapy segments 
    • Actively participate with key industry trade/technical associations (BPSA, BPOG, ASME-BPE, etc.) become a strong voice for CPC within strategic workstreams
    • Lead annual tradeshow identification, prioritization and justification; collaborate with global sales and marcomm teams on tradeshow execution to meet global goals  
    • Participate in biopharma sales meeting planning and execution
    • Collaborate with product management to identify new products and product improvements necessary to meet market segment’s needs. Conduct market research and provide customer input and perspective to NPI teams. Document and gain approval for new product initiatives.
    • Input into annual pricing/profitability strategies
    • Identify and align policies related to pricing and delivery
    • Promote and train the CPC organization globally on the needs, desires, and value of assigned segments. 
    • Be the spokesperson and advocate for assigned markets internally at CPC.
    • Develop relationships with key decision makers and strategic accounts.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of product marketing experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience defining and launching new products to market


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in the biopharma market
  • Experience working with and understanding OEM and distribution channel dynamics
  • Master in Business Administration, Engineering or Science
  • Proven experience developing and implementing effective market development plans and strategies in a B2B setting
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Creative problem solver with global perspective
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with and understanding distribution channel dynamics
  • Experience with fluid handling products/markets, particularly in medical equipment, pneumatics, printing, or food equipment.
  • Engineering degree and design experience
