Job Summary: 

We are looking for a process engineering manager of a team responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants. Responsible for operational excellence via efficient process design. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production. Manages all engineering projects and resolves engineering problems. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the manufacturing technologies department. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations, NPI and requiring coordination with other departments. This position is responsible for collaborate with design teams and supporting cross-functional teams in the areas of global supply chain, product development and product life cycle management. This role works closely with engineering, marketing and other project managers and functional staff to create value in support of the business unit’s initiatives

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads manufacturing initiatives in support of the business unit needs.
  • Know and understand the manufacturing capabilities and identify future needs.
  • Understand the manufacturing processes and drives for operational process excellence
  • Develop project plans and execute to timeline.
  • Communicate project status to key stakeholders.
  • Hands-on systems development including but not limited to routings, work instructions, tools, fixtures, equipment, BoM definition , component and FG set up, supply chain meeting coordination, associated cross-functional communications, new product development build allocation plan administration and supplier build planning coordination.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to other members of the manufacturing engineering NPI team in support of the product development, product life cycle management and process improvement PM discipline.
  • Analyze complex data with the understanding of quantitative and qualitative trade-offs between different manufacturing processes objectives and presents recommendations.
  • Department management of talent, budgeting, and organizational structure.
  • Continuously improve critical processes related to the development and delivery of custom projects.
  • Technical oversight and responsibility for custom projects.
  • Identifies proprietary Intellectual Property relative to product design and assures appropriate action is taken to protect it.
     
    Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related.
  • A minimum of five (5 years) [HT1] of manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience
  • Lean methodology familiarity
  • Proficient in Project Management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Effective interpersonal skills and comfort leading cross functional projects
     
    Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Results-orientated and demonstrating a "can-do" attitude-adaptable, flexible, and resourceful to work through short and long-term issues
  • Hands-on demonstrated proficiency in Pro-E
  • Manufacturing process knowledge for plastics welding
  • Six sigma methodology
  • Experience in Medical Device or ISO13485 QA system environment
  • Advanced degree or MBA

 

Travel:           

  • Up to 20%, Both domestic and International
