Senior Manager – Inside Sales

Location: Roseville, MN, US

Job Summary: 

Lead a global network of Inside Sales professionals to identify new prospects and markets, qualify leads, nurture and close winning sales opportunities. Partner with field sales and business unit leadership, marketing communications and new product development to open new markets and secure qualified leads. Represent insides sales processes at the company’s leadership meetings. Advocate continuous improvements and effective sales processes. Build a growing organization to align with best practices, accommodate differences in sales cycles and recognize regional cultural and language requirements. Ensure strong partnerships with field sales to present mutual, collaborative, seamless representation in the markets.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Hire, train, manage and develop a team of inside sales professionals to meet expected Lead, Opportunity and revenue goals in specific territories and business lines

Monitor and continuously improve the lead management and sales qualification process, activities and skills utilizing the IMPACT sales process across the field and inside sales cycles

Develop, coach, and train to ensure an active sales “bench”

Measure and report on sales and department metrics and suggest improvements, including measuring ROI on the inside sales organization

Advocate and generate collaborative relationships with field sales, marketing communications, and new product development toward a positive, consistent customer experience and significant sales goals

Manage and measure the lead management pipeline and funnel process in the CRM system and seek continual improvement, including recommendations, advocacy and testing technical requirements

Participate in customer and distribution partner interactions to ensure cross-training, customer satisfaction and management involvement regularly

Contribute to the development of, and support new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings

Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure the inside sales program's success across teams and departments throughout the company. Serve with other departmental management to facilitate relationships among members of these various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 or more years of technical sales experience
  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience in a sales management position in increasing levels of responsibility
  • Exposure to or understanding of cultural differences in sales process and human resource management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business management, technical or engineering discipline
  • Experience working with CRM systems to manage the sales process and funnel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Skill in communicating priorities, plans and information to employees throughout the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Master’s degree  
  • Medical Device Industry experience a plus
