Supply Planner III

 

Job Summary: The Supply Planner III, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for tracking inventory, anticipating demand, suggesting purchases to ensure production continuity, and developing short and long range supply plans to efficiently meet business-segment requirements.

 

Location: Roseville, MN

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leverage strategies to enable fast-paced growth within BioPharma value streams through support of new product introductions, source of supply initiatives, supplier integration, and supply chain simplification
  • Create master production schedule aligned with component availability and business objectives
  • Create rough-cut capacity plans for labor, equipment, components, and logistics excellence
  • Determine and resolve current and forecasted gaps in component supply to achieve master schedule
  • Participate in monthly supply-and-demand synchronization reviews for assigned value streams
  • Manage and optimize total inventory lifecycle, including through purchasing, inbound inspection, storage, production, shipping, and end-of-life/market transitions
  • Recommend supplier stocking levels and collaborate internally and externally to optimize production schedules to meet business segment cash, cost, and service objectives
  • Regularly evaluate and update the Planning PFEP for material flow parameters such as safety stock, order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment intervals internally and with suppliers
  • Analyze and anticipate market trends utilizing demand plans and through scenario planning to appropriately size supermarkets and safety stocks of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Create inventory reports, dashboards, and present continuous improvement suggestions to the Supply Chain Manager
  • Evaluate exception messages for changes to customer promise dates and make recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement in areas of MRP plans, ERP system performance, and supply planning standard work
  • Track inventory levels and allocate inventory as needed to meet prioritized customer requirements
  • Monitor monthly and weekly production plans, prioritizing work orders as needed to meet customer orders
  • Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and shipping and resolve issues when they arise

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business, science, engineering, or technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning
  • Proficient in use of ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP
  • Prior Lean Six Sigma experience or certification (Green Belt)
  • Oracle ERP experience

Travel: Less than 10%
