Web Content Specialist

The Web Content Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the CPC website (cpcworldwide.com), assuring that corporate branding, style guidelines and navigational structure is maintained. The role requires strong content management system (CMS) authoring skills, within a fast-paced, high volume publishing environment. The day-to-day tasks include updating and building out web pages. The role will be required to input content into CMS to build out new pages on the website for new products, campaigns, detailed technical information to support products and marketing messaging including  personalization, also, adding new CMS features and components when needed. The position will report to the Creative Director and will work closely with our Web Designer to provide consultative guidance to the MarComm team regarding optimized web content strategies.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing updates and ongoing development of the web experience for cpcworldwide.com (DNN/Evoq in the process of migrating to AEM) to ensure all the many systems and applications function properly
  • Maintaining our eCommerce product catalog managed within Intershop (CMS and PIM)
  • Set up new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages within our CMS
  • Some light front-end code web to create a cohesive digital experience and engage users
  • Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
  • Assist with quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing for all website updates and digital campaigns; provide improvement recommendations
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders across Marketing teams to provide support on various web initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, proactively reprioritizing when necessary as determined by competitive business needs
  • Maintain translations for our sites in collaboration with our reginal marketing managers
  • Regular testing of website functionality: checking for errors/bugs, confirming accuracy, and reporting issues to external development teams using a Jira ticketing system.
  • Ensure content is consistent with client digital strategies, brand guidelines and web best practices
  • Manage a content publishing to successfully launch products on time
  • Regularly evaluate the website and consult with internal stakeholders (MarComm mangers, Web Designer, Creative Director) regarding digital content display: taxonomy, information architecture, navigational structure, search engine optimization, up-to-date data content and site usability
  • Participate on weekly status meetings with external developers and the internal technical CPC team
  • Provide consultation on overall UI/UX and site design
  • Create and maintain web process documentation and flowchart/maps that visually represents website content structure
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
  • Build and maintain strong internal client relationships
  • Perform other duties dictated by the busines needs

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Web Development or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and managing enterprise wide content management system (CMS) platforms for medium scale websites, experience documenting requirements for changes and ensuring brand guidelines are maintained.
  • Advance hands-on experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical aptitude, with extreme attention to detail and quality
  • Experience with digital content production, content proofing and editing, SEO best practices, UI/UX concepts, and general web design disciplines
  • Good understanding of cross-browser/cross platform compatibility issues and web design constraints
  • Ability to actively manage multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality results, and the ability to problem-solve in a collaborative manner with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to meet deadlines and identify potential risks, resource needs, and prioritize workloads

 

Preferred job qualifications:

  • Adobe Experience Manager (CMS) and other Content management systems, Google Analytics (or similar) is a plus
  • Graphic design experience is a bonus but not required
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (specifically Photoshop or other image editing software)
  • DAM management experience
  • Strong problem solving and ability to adapt to changing project scopes
  • Editing and proofreading skills
