POSITION OVERVIEW:

Position is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, working with those customers to provide input into product development, and for supporting the strategic plans of our product line within the Microwave Products Group (MPG).

 

Location:  Qualified candidate may work from any of our following sites:  Ventura, CA, West Chester, OH or Salisbury, MD.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating and achieving monthly and annual sales forecasts
  • Provide technical, quotation, and advocacy support to customers
  • Responsible for increasing annual bookings, diversification of customer base, and providing customer support and satisfaction for MPG products
  • Acts as primary MPG point of contact for select existing and new customer organizations or regions
  • Provides timely responses to customer requests for quotations and product/capabilities information
  • Acts as liaison to other MPG departments to resolve customer issues
  • Identifies market requirements for new or improved products and features
  • Interfaces with outside commissioned regional sales representatives
  • Interfaces with engineering and program management personnel in preparation of technical and price proposals
  • Acts as marketing champion for specific projects and create business case
  • Identifies adjacency opportunities for MPG capabilities
  • Tracks, obtains information for, and updates opportunity status information in Customer Relationship Management database
  • Creates and monitors pipeline opportunities based on market trends, technology evolution and/or program upgrades
  • Supports general marketing activities such as trade-shows, catalog updates, marketing communications material, presentations, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • Minimum of a BSEE from an accredited four year college or university required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the RF and microwave electronics industry required; defense industry preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales/Marketing business development required. Proven experience with the acquisition of new contracts and customers.
  • Military service in communications or EW areas is a strong plus.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum ability to travel 25% of the time, though travel will vary. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Technical:  Expansive knowledge in RFMW solution based approaches
  • Communication Skills:  Has a proven track record of successfully interfacing on a regular basis with Customers as well as other departments in the organization.   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
  • Business Acumen:  Solid business instincts and business case skills; an entrepreneurial approach, while keeping the customer's best interests as a top priority. Ability to generate profitable sales growth
