Facility & Maintenance Engineer

Role Purpose

Responsible for regular preventive maintenance; especially Facility, Mechanical and Electrical of factory, all machines and production lines to ensure no down time and within maintenance budget.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

§  Work under minimum supervision on preventive maintenance, installations and repairs of building, utilities, all machines and equipment and production lines.

§  Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical related machineries and equipment breakdown.

§  Ensure full and timely reporting of all major breakdowns, significant problems, repair requirements, delays or machine down time to relevant personnel.

§  Planning for preventive maintenance activities and spare parts ordering.

§  Maintain machine and equipment spare part stock.

§  Work closely and establish good teamwork with related departments in carryout routine maintenance, shutdown and minor project works in factory.

§  Contact external contractors as required and supervise them while on site.

§  Installation of new plant and machinery.

§  To provide full, accurate and timely completion of all maintenance logs, schedules, etc. to comply with Health and Safety legislation ISO requirements.

§  Responsible for good documentation i.e. prepare standard operating procedures for machineries, To ensure all equipment and technical drawings are updated and maintain accordingly.

§  Responsible for compliance with environmental legislation.

§  Ensure that local processes are comply with environmental regulatory requirements.

§  Responsible for all company emission are comply with legal and environmental regulatory requirements.

§  Other duties or tasks assigned by the Line Manager or Management.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

§  University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related areas.

§  At least 3 years of related working experience in manufacturing environment.

§  Experience working on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment.

§  Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliances.

§  Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Desired Characteristics, Competence and Capabilities, if applicable

§  Knowledge in MS Office.

§  Proven planning, organising, coordinating and controlling skills.

§  Possess effective time management, communication, teamwork, adaptability and high stress tolerance.
