Customer Service Specialist(Export)

The Role

This person will be responsible for China and Singapore platform Export customer service operation, prepare customs clearance documents and export licenses, in order to reach supply chain target and satisfactory logistics service for MI customers.

What you will do:

  • Manage and process the orders both for China and Singapore Customers.
  • Prepare customs clearance documents for both China and Singapore export cargoes.
  • Contribute to establish and implement efficient export processes and procedures with compliance to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Obtain export licenses conforming to trade compliance requirements from local government authorities in daily export operations.
  • HS code classification process and COO check implementation in daily operation.
  • Daily forwarder/broker communication and management to maximize efficiency and avoid trade compliance risk.
  • Forwarder billing statement, payment and invoice verification.
  • Manage customer claim, find out solutions and coordinate reverse flows. Coordinate insurance company regarding the claims.
  • Customs Handbook registration, amendment, reconciliation and close at Customs, with knowledge to avoid variance and customs risks.
  • Support on customer/vendor RPS screening issues with sense of effective compliance screening
  • Cooperate with finance to complete export collection
  • Co-ordinate KPIs/metrics reporting relating to export transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit related to Trade/Customs compliance.
  • Provide professional expertise for other departments on the export request and business.
  • Maintain and filing necessary records, files and reports.
  • Timely to report issues
  • Complete other assignment by managers.

 

What you need to have:

  • Education/Training Required:

College degree or above ,major in international trade or logistics

  • Work Experience Required:

3+ years working experience good experience on relevant logistics operation & distribution.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Good reading, written and spoken English skill.
  • Good knowledge on logistics flow  
  • Related SAP knowledge and experience.                        
  • Positive attitude, team work and 'Can do' spirit.
  • Good communication / influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and simulation skills
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
