General Summary/Scope:
Reporting to Dover China Finance Controller, a role will critically review of all financial data to assist the finance controller in analysing financial status of the Corporate entities. He / she will be responsible for reviewing full set of accounting books (Local GAAP and US GAAP) to ensure that the books of accounts are compiled every end of the month/quarter/year in line with Dover guidelines/GAAP.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Manage the month end closing, review necessary journal entries, accruals, variation analyses.
- Ensuring all internal and external financial reporting and filings for Corporate / hosted entities are completed accurately and timely
- Delivery of monthly local management reporting pack, provide analysis and insights over balance sheet and P&L changes
- Driving various technology transformations through to smaller process efficiencies. Partnering with other Controlling team and global offices to ensure initiatives are best practice and fit for purpose.
- Support the external audit process
- Ensure compliance with local and US generally accepted accounting principles, legal and ethical framework, and alignment with corporate policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
- Assist the preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts
- Assist in ongoing development, documentation, and testing of reporting / financial works with ERP system
- Support local and international finance teams with ad-hoc projects as arise
- Highly motivated and willing to embrace new challenges and drive continuous improvement within our finance team processes
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years+ of auditing, financing reporting or accounting operations related experience
- Accounting Firm Working Experience and CPA, CMA, CIA is a preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience with U.S. GAAP and P.R.C. GAAP are a plus
- Good interpersonal skill and able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels
- Ability to work well under pressure; strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
