Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Director will develop and implement a region/zone sales strategy to achieve the organization’s short and long-term sales goals. Lead development of the sales strategies, review and advice on policies-pricing, products mix, brand portfolio. Review and monitor sales performance periodically, and refine sales strategies as required in discussion within the region/zone. Works closely with marketing counterparts, and creates collaborative environment for enhancing sales growth globally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales strategies within Greater China including channel strategy, sales model, customer strategies; identify focused market segment and ensure the strategies work and generate consistent growth in PSG Greater China business.
  • Responsible for supervision of market representation/distribution activities for all of Greater China including location, appointment, evaluation and cancellation of distributors within DOA parameters.
  • Develops and monitors usage of Greater China expense budget in accordance with established DOA to effectively enhance Greater China regions performance, sales revenue and company profit.
  • Coordinates Greater China Sales activity with Regional Managers, sales distribution and OEM network interface with regards to training requirements, and market intelligence.
  • Initiates new product concepts via market research and information gathering which help reduce the product idea to product launch time line thus cultivating the Company's stature as an innovator and market leader.
  • Maintains a focused international perspective by monitoring and staying current on the region's political, socio-economic and demographic trends so that new business opportunities are seized.
  • Conducts regular reviews of the sales channel and indirect/direct sales organization performance and makes recommendations for same. Ensures that all opportunities for profitable growth are exploited. Coordinates with Group Marketing and distributes/ takes action on competitive intelligence for the market and communicate same within the company.
  • Support acquisition due diligence and integration activities.
  • Act as a catalyst and driver of change.
  • Participates in assigned project teams and additional tasks as required.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering, MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical product business and familiar with sales marketing and commercial practice in Greater China.
  • Stronger selling experience and skills, understand value sales, channel models.
  • Experience in managing cross culture team and organization, be able to build stronger team.
  • Cross culture background in Greater China and understand culture difference in conducting business in Greater China region.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill with peers, customers, channel partners.
  • Ability to travel as required to insure regions goals are achieved
  • High proficiency in English
