JOB DUTIES/工作职责:

1. To rationalize the supplier base; build, own and develop highly productive relationships with best-fit suppliers in order to improve quality and delivery performance. 
2. Negotiate, implement, document and audit supplier contracts.
3. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance taking appropriate action as necessary. 
4. Identify long lead time components and monitor second tier supplier component sourcing   
5. Identify and implement cost down opportunities.
6. Reduce inventory and apply Just-In-Time philosophy in line with business objectives.
7. Raise awareness of purchasing issues and objectives across the business i.e. ‘cost down’.
8. Work closely with engineering and production to ensure product/material suitability.
9. Own and resolve issues that arise within the category, involving the Purchasing Manager when appropriate. 
10. Contribute effectively to regular buyer’s meetings.  
11. Participate as required in any auditing activities including the Sarbanes-Oxley process

SKILLS REQUIRED/技能要求:

1. Knowledge of plastics products, injection, molding and machining, can read related drawings and specifications. 
2. Possess a track record of successful and effective negotiation, and strong influencing skills. 
3. Ability to demonstrate breadth of knowledge and experience in inventory management.
4. Full appreciation of the concept and application of lean strategies of procurement and supply chain management. 
5. Experience of successfully managing and completing projects, which involve the co-operation of others.
6. Able to share own expertise, provide guidance and support to other team members. 
7. Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills; able to communicate effectively face to face and in writing with people at all levels in an organization.
8. Able to achieve goals/ objectives as an individual and also preferably in a team environment.
9. Understands key internal/ external business issues and best practice in own discipline area.  Able to make changes to own and colleagues work as a response to these.
10. Good organizational skills, able to priorities, evidence of track record of working on own initiative and achieving regular/routine tasks on time.
11. Able to build stable and useful working relationships.
12. Able to utilize a variety of software packages e.g. MS Word, Excel,and ERP.
