Dover Fueling Solutions are looking to recruit a Field Service Technician to carry out measure checking and calibration of fuel dispensers, conducting site surveys and risk assessments and installing/maintaining pc-based data monitoring kiosk equipment on Petrol Retail Forecourts in the UK. This is a full time (48 Hours per week), permanent role in the Midlands / M1 corridor. Key Responsibilities of our Field Technician:

- Completing site inspections / surveys & risk assessments on petrol forecourts

- Conducting ‘Loss Investigations’ & ‘Meter Calibration Audits’ through physical checks.

- Carrying out installation and repairs to company monitoring & datalogging equipment.

- Working within the Health & Safety framework set by the company and our clients, including internal and external training.

- Actively seeking to enhance your knowledge and skills by engaging with colleagues and supervisors to build a strong team ethic.

- Communicating and engaging with office-based Field Services support team

- Delivering service excellence to the customer by conducting all site visits in accordance with agreed procedures

- Acting as an ambassador for the company and enhancing the company name and brand by your commitment to our core values

- Taking part in trials of new services, equipment or ways of working as required

- Undertaking special assignments as needed or required

 

 

 

Candidate Experience and Qualifications:

- A full, Valid UK Driving Licence

- Knowledge of petrol forecourt operation

- A valid UKPIA SPA Passport is a requirement, but full training will be provided for anyone who does not hold one

- Previous experience of delivering excellent service in a customer-facing role

- Computer literacy – MS Word, MS Excel, bespoke software

- The ability to work on their own and as part of a team

- The ability to effectively & clearly communicate in English

 

Desirable:

- Practical experience of working with fuel and/or on petrol forecourts in a similar role

- Any experience of installing/troubleshooting/repairing computer/telecoms equipment – Ideally gauges and/or Point of Sale and/or data logging devices/ cat5e cabling

- Practical experience of conducting risk assessments

 

Essential Functions:

- The ability to travel out of local area and stay at company provided accommodation overnight when required

- Good level of physical fitness

- The ability to work in excess of 9.6 hours per day

- The ability to sit, stand, kneel and crouch as necessary to complete visual inspections, conduct tests, transport fuel and access data cabling and communications devices
