Molder 2 £10.25 Hourly

Physical Work Requirements:


  • Standing 8 – 10 hours

  • Must be able to work with fiberglass, solvents, paints, oils.
  • Lift 25 kilograms frequently



  • Able to work as a team or alone.
  • Attend all required training.
  • Adhere to safety procedures at all times, including wearing all required PPE.
  • Address all quality and safety concerns via the appropriate channels for an assigned cell.
  • Keep work station clean, orderly and free of safety hazards at all times.
  • Actively participate in all department projects, tasks and objectives.
  • Keep supervisor(s) informed of cell actives regarding but not limited to: quality, personal, parts supply, safety, cost, and on time delivery.
  • Following established procedures to apply material by hand and/or machine to produce standard and nonstandard components and products of quality.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the molding process including, but not limited to, set-up, fiberglass lay-up / preform and de mold
  • Preparing mold or tool surface properly with release film, wax and other part release products.
  • Trimming parts to the proper dimensions based on process sheets, established standards, drawings and verbal instructions.
  • Inspecting laminate surfaces for defects, imperfections, foreign material or other non-conformance, and correcting as necessary including the completion of a reject note.
  • Moving parts and components to shipping, holding area or other designated location after inspection.
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn new tools and equipment, including injection equipment and cutting tools.
  • Ability to become familiar with materials and resins used in manufacturing fiberglass reinforced plastics.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work at heights and within tight spaces when required.
  • Ability to work variable hours including shift work
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
