Responsibilities:  

  • Create and issue Engineering Change Notices (ECN) based on requirements as provided by Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, or regulatory agencies such as UL.
  • Ensure accuracy of engineering documentation in support of ECN generation.  This includes CAD files (Siemens NX), appropriate engineering functions in the ERP system (Oracle), and in the PLM system (Teamcenter).  Interface as appropriate with other functional areas in execution of these responsibilities.
  • Provide support to operational departments as necessary after ECN’s are issued.
  • Provide training and direction on engineering processes and systems to any new hires or existing design engineering team.
  • Responsible for internal controls (auditing) and procedures for effective ECN implementation.
  • Maintain and update procedures for engineering processes as needed, including participation in internal audits.
  • Provide CAD support to new product development and product enhancement projects as directed by engineering staff.
  • Perform assembly work of engineering prototypes as required.
  • Provide support for in-house lab and field testing as required.
  • Other activities as identified by management.

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Associate Degree
  • 3D / 2D CAD experience (experience with Siemens NX & Teamcenter would be a plus)
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and bills of material
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Mechanical aptitudeContinuous Improvement philosophy

 

Experience in a manufacturing environment would be a plus.
