Hours: Mon - Thurs 5:30 am - 4:00 pm, Fri 5:30am - 2:00 pm

Responsibilities:
Summary: Cuts, trims, or scarfs metal objects with metal forming equipment to dimensions, contour, or bevel specified by blueprints, work order, or layout by performing the following duties. Also responsible for maintaining steel inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Translate finished good part number into a list of subcomponents that must be fabricated.
- Setup various metal forming equipment to stamp or form parts per the print.
- Select the correct sheet size to ensure there is maximum utilization of materials.
- Measure parts with various measuring tools to ensure they meet the print.
- At times, critical thinking needs to be utilized to ensure finished goods are made correctly.
- Work independently
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere
- Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
