 Accountabilities:  Efficiently and effectively assist with the satisfactory completion and administration of the following items in order to meet the needs of both internal and external customers - Safety, Product Assembly and Quality Assurance.


Pay Starting at $16 per hour


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming inspection on a wide variety of part commodities and subassemblies, including but not limited to metal extrusions, castings, injection molded, coatings, machined, stamped, springs, etc. Must inspect parts/assemblies based on well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements. Proficiency in use of a variety of different gauges as stated below is required to conduct these inspections.
  • Accurately document and log the results of inspections and/or tests. Understanding when a nonconformance exists and notifying the proper stake holder so that disposition can be completed.
  • Work with the receiving department to understand inspection priorities based on internal demand or reduced floor space. 
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in an organized manner.
  • Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Ensuring all gauges in your work area are maintained and calibrated.
  • Complete continous improvement projects and 5S. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of Quality Inspection experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment preferred. 
  • Good understanding of GD&T principles in order to inspect parts based on print dimensions. Must understand how to interpret a blueprint.
  • Knowledge of what gauge to be selected based on print dimension and allowable tolerance. Determining gauge accuracy and resolution in order to select what gauge to use for allowable tolerance is essential. 
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.  Must be able to spell and use proper grammar.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize daily tasks. Must be detail oriented, a quick learner and have a reasonable inspection speed with high inspection accuracy.
  • High proficiency in using a wide variety of measuring tools, including but not limited to calipers, height gages, radius gages, micrometers, scales, surface plates, depth gages, hole gages, pin gages, thread gauges, profilometer, CMM, Keyence, Barcol, Webster, Brinell, Rockwell, tensile/compression testing equipment, pressure decay testing equipment, and etc.
  • Proficiency using Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to comply with all plant and safety policies.
  • Must be willing and able to work independently; the ability to have a customer focused mindset is key as this position will require interfacing with both shop and office staff.  
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE.
  • Experience using an ERP system such as oracle is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand, lift up to 35 lbs., bend, push, pull, twist, kneel and work in weather extremes.
