Responsibilities:
- Resolve shipping issues such as mis-shipments, shortages, damage, deliveries, and freight charges.
- Handle incoming/outgoing calls regarding shipment of product including carriers, customer service, sales and operations etc.
-Evaluate and resolve aging orders that have not shipped.
-Accurately generate shipping documents, freight terms, and commercial invoices.
-Generate pick tickets and assign carriers as required to minimize cost.
-Investigate freight claims and provide disposition.
-Oversee the prompt completion of all customer specific freight shipments and international orders.
-Schedule carrier pick ups
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
--Must be able to work hours beyond scheduled shift during the week as well as work weekends.
-Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
-Must be detail oriented
-Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically.
-Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, stand and walk intermittently throughout the day and be involved with shipping activities on the warehouse floor throughout the required shift.
-Must be able to bend, push, pull and kneel.
-Must be able to work in weather extremes.
-Must be able to wear all required PPE.
-Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety policies.
-Must be self-directed to work independently as well as possess the ability to work in a team environment.
