Primary Responsibilities:


  • Proficiency in all aspects of the sourcing process required.  This includes market research, developing supplier road maps,  data management, supplier selection, optimization analysis, negotiations, risk mitigation,  and contracting.
  • Negotiate, implement, and administer MOU’s and Supply Agreements with suppliers based on the OPW sourcing plan.
  • Assist the Senior Supply Chain Manager to Develop and  implement sourcing strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Leverage best in class sourcing and optimization technology to achieve greatest balance of cost, service and change management. 
  • Seek out opportunities to drive creativity and innovation within each sourcing segment, while ensuring adherence to quality and timeliness standards. 
  • Execute both Dover corporate MOU strategies, and Opco specific sourcing strategies, including Optomization of the supply base, and material replenishment programs. These programs may include a sourcing concentration in a best value country. 
  • Designs, implements, and tracks cost reduction programs and initiatives to improve OPW performance and profitability.
  • Tracks key cost factors with suppliers to mitigate risk to OPW. 
  • Analyze, understand and communicate industry trends and best practices and incorporate to meet business requirements and directives.
  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives ensuring that the sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth.
  • Assist in building and maintaining supplier relationships with emphasis on continuous improvement, and elimination of inefficiencies throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Develop and maintain procurement and sourcing reports and metrics.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years procurement experience each in a fast paced manufacturing environment. (Tactical and Strategic), as well as hands on supplier management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related Supply Chain management discipline required.
  • Strong experience in project management, sourcing strategy development, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, cost modeling, vendor auditing, and budget management.
  • Deep Category knowledge – Plastics, Resin, and Castings highly desired.
  • Results driven, highly detail oriented.   
  • Proven track record of interpreting the complex relationships of policies, contractual requirements and the legal/regulatory aspects of the supply chain to establish and implement effective negotiation strategies.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, communication skills, and relationship management.
  • Hands on work ethic with results focus is required.
  • Proficient in Oracle, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Impeccable ethics and trustworthiness.
