Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise  and lead a team of quality assurance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest level of quality in all aspects of production.
  • Implement and maintain the quality management system in accordance to ISO 9001:2015
  • Develop, review, and update quality procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and address quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are issued and completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team, including procurement, engineering, and manufacturing, to address quality concerns.
  • Utilizes problem solving methodologies such as PDCA, SWOT, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D, A3, 5Why, etc in order to define the problem, determine root cause and put in place solutions to correct and prevent the quality issues.  Will also mentor the quality team members with use of these tools.
  • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations and implementing necessary actions.
  • Support customer audits and inquiries, addressing any quality-related concerns and providing necessary documentation and evidence.

 

Oversees and Develops the following Quality Assurance Functions:

  • Overall Management and Development of the QMS
  • Document Control and updating Quality Procedures as needed.
  • Internal Control Plans
  • CAPA Process
  • FAI Inspections, Inspection Setups
  • Manages Internal and External Audits, completes Process Audits
  • Management of the FAI inspection process
  • Management of the calibration process and gauge surveillance system
  • Warranty claim dispositioning process
  • Internal and External defect PPM
  • Extrusion Inspection Process.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills. Experience using lean six sigma problem solving methodologies. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training is preferred.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools consisting of calipers, height gages, radius gages, micrometers, scales, surface plates, compression/tension load testing, profilometer, hardness testing equipment (Rockwell, Brinell, Webster, durometer, etc) depth gages, thread gauges, pin/plug gages, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings. Good working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Good computer skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook.
  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to work professionally with shop personnel, customer service, and office personnel.
  • 10+ years of quality inspection experience.
