<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What we are looking for:

 

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are looking for a Facilities Engineer who will be responsible for design, review and implementation of new processes or improvements in the operations or construction of the manufacturing and related facilities. Also responsible for material and labor costs analysis, setting procedures and standards, and reviewing construction bids. Accountable for plan, design, and oversight of facility reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facility equipment.

 

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What you will be responsible for in this role:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and budgets that meet them.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monitoring and tracking project progress.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Communicating with managers, supervisors, and contractors regarding project status and operational impacts.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyzing technical drawings and providing material and cost estimates.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets.
    Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies accordingly.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Evaluates capital equipment investments, prepares cost justifications and manages the overall implementations of capital equipment projects.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Conduct make-vs-buy analysis of components of the existing product.
    Support the general Manufacturing Engineering department as needed

 

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">(4) year degree is required; a degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5 years of experience in facilities engineering
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">3 years engineering experience in an industrial factory environment.

 

<span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">To be a great fit for the role:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Budget management experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to work with others on a team to accomplish goals.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, maintain detailed and accurate records, and prepare clear and concise written reports.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of equipment, buildings and infrastructure.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vendor management experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Familiarity with regulations and building codes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to prepare engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of facility related projects is a plus.
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">CAD experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proficient with MS Office Suite
    Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing expertise.
