Job Title: Industrial Design Rendering Specialist
Location: Richmond, VA or Atlanta, GA preferred or remote
What we’re looking for:
Dover Food Retail is searching for an Industrial Design Rendering Specialist who will be primarily responsible for creating high-quality, photorealistic digital renderings of industrial products, utilizing 3D modeling software to visually communicate design concepts and product details to stakeholders, while adhering to manufacturing constraints and design specifications, often working closely with other industrial designers, product managers, marketing and engineers throughout the product development process.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- 3D Modeling: Construct detailed 3D models of industrial products using Autodesk software like AutoCAD, Revit, or 3Ds Max, ensuring accurate geometry and material properties to facilitate realistic rendering.
- Rendering: Utilize rendering engines to generate high-quality, photorealistic images of product designs, including lighting, textures, and camera angles to effectively showcase the product's aesthetics and functionality.
- Material Creation: Develop realistic textures and materials for 3D models, considering different surface finishes, reflections, and lighting effects to accurately represent the final product.
- Scene Setup: Design and arrange virtual environments for rendering, including lighting setups, backgrounds, and props to provide context and enhance the visual impact of the renderings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with industrial designers to interpret their design concepts and translate them into accurate 3D models, providing feedback and suggestions throughout the design process.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest rendering technologies and software to optimize render quality and efficiency.
- Presentation: Prepare high-resolution renderings for presentations, marketing materials, and client reviews, ensuring visual consistency and clarity.
What are the basic qualifications?
- 5+ years with proven experience in creating high-quality 3D renders for industrial products
- 2 years of experience in 3D Modeling Software: Expertise in industry-standard CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or 3Ds Max,
- 2 years of experience using rendering engines like V-Ray, Corona Renderer, or Octane Render
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in industrial design, 3D Design, or a related field

- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and their visual properties
