Job Title:        Material Handler II            

Location:        South Chesterfield, VA  

 

What we are looking for:

 

This position is responsible for loading unpainted refrigerated display case parts on a suspended conveyor for painting, inspecting painted parts for defects, and unloading completed parts.

 

What you will be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Read work orders and determine appropriate mounting/hanging hardware.
  • Load unpainted refrigerated display case parts on a suspended conveyor for transport to paint booth.
  • Inspect completed parts exiting the paint booth for defects and notify lead/supervisor as required.
  • Unload and store completed/painted component parts to required specifications
  • Works with Inventory Control & Lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements. Works as part of the Distribution team to ensure all requested material transfers are completed accurately in a timely manner.
  • Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
