What we are looking for:


We are looking for an Electrician who will be responsible for routine maintenance support to the operations departments in a high paced environment. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and sometime mechanical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant.


The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from Production Leaders.



What you will be responsible for in this role: (list of job duties/responsibilities)


  • Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment when needed.
  • Diagnoses electrical and mechanical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, controls and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment.


What are the basic qualifications?

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Electrical classes with certificate
  • 2 years Electrical troubleshooting and repair on manufacturing equipment
  • 2-3 years residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience up to 480 volts


What are the preferred qualifications?

  • Certified Electrician with current license 
  • Electrical controls troubleshooting experience
  • PLC knowledge/classes a plus
  • 4 years Electrical troubleshooting and repair on industrial equipment
  • 4-6 years residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience up to 480 volts

  • Must be able to follow instructions and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power and control principals.
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Knowledge to troubleshoot causes of operating errors and decide the best course of action to fix.
  • Must be proficient using all electrical measuring instruments.
  • Ability to install equipment, machine controls, conduit, and wiring.
  • Ability to repair machines or systems using the required tools.
  • Must have working knowledge of Lockout/Tag our procedures, National Electrical Code rules and regulations.
  • Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must have good teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have computer skills necessary to interface with machinery programs.
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and fabricate from basic sketches/drawings and be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics, contractors and/or vendors.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
