Job Title:        Manager, Accounting            

Location:        Sylmar, CA            

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing Anthony, Inc. accounting functions including leading our monthly close activities, policies and controls and other process and efficiency programs.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Partner with our shared service team, DBS, to identify opportunities for improved processes and execute on the redesign of such processes.
  • Assist, as necessary, with the consolidation of Anthony financial results, and align with Dover Corporate requirements to ensure timely, accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Supervise preparation of monthly journal entries and review monthly reconciliations, as necessary.
  • Assist with preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, research accounting issues and implement new standards.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Leadership, mentoring, training & development of accounting staff.
  • Coordinate financial audits and lead standardization and improvements. 
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as necessary.

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 8+ years of internal control experience

  • Demonstrates sound analytical depth and technical capability in accounting methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Employee must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), financial reporting and general ledger software.
  • Employee must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools.
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
