JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing administrative support to the traffic function of the organization

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels, tracks orders, investigates discrepancies, and evaluate all data for all finished goods.
  • Effectively communicate current priorities to the inventory team in conjunction with the Shipping Manager.
  • Communicate to department manager any issues that will affect external demand or OTD.
  • Provides training/cross-training, scheduling, and guidance to inventory/shipping team on the floor. 
  • Provide feedback to department manager on staff performance.
  • Performs and support physical count of inventory, reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports as well as inventory cycle counts maintaining efficient control of material flow.
  • Collaborate with shipping lead regarding picking and organizing orders to ensure efficient flow of all shipments.
  • Maintain open communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Keeps work areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times
  • Prepares all inventory reports and maintain appropriate documentation.

 

  • Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma/GED or 5 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area

Experience:

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the particular field.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Explorer

Mathematical Abilities:

Accuracy in data entry and basic math skills required

Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to handle instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

Professional verbal communication skills required
