Business Development Manager, Thermal Management, APAC, Taiwan

Colder Products Company (CPC) is the leading provider of quick disconnect couplings, fittings and connectors for plastic tubing. At CPC, we believe that fluid handling should be safe and easy. We engineer our connection solutions to improve the overall functionality and design of  equipment and processes for the life sciences, industrial, and chemical handling markets. Special features of our products include precise hose barbs for superior grip, built-in shutoff valves for preventing spills, and easy-to-use, push-button thumb latches for quick connecting and disconnecting. CPC is a Dover company based in St. Paul with global offices and operations in Europe and Asia.

Summary:  The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing large accounts and identifying/developing opportunities for liquid cooling of electronics applications; primarily for data center and high performance computing applications. This position will work closely with our customers and channel partners in Asia Pacific, with a focus in Taiwan and southeast Asia. This position will collaborate with our Application Development Managers, Application Engineers, and the greater thermal business unit to drive growth in all thermal markets. This remote, home-based position reports directly to the Global Sales Manager, Thermal; who is located in Arden Hills, MN, USA.

  • Manage large accounts - with primary focus on liquid-cooling integrators and channel partners - including the creation and maintenance of account plans that align with the thermal management strategies
  • Build strong relationships and networking with partners, influencers and strategic customers
  • Collaborate with global business development team and application development team to support global customers and win specifications  
  • Work with partners to identify and develop new opportunities for all liquid cooling of electronics applications.
  • Negotiate and manage business and pricing agreements and contracts
  • Conduct regular product training and information sessions for partners and end customers.
  • Develop strategies for penetration, expansion, and adoption of our products in the Thermal Management network.  
  • Perform Voice of Customer (VOC) and establish customer needs; competitive advantages, and opportunities to position/reposition products to maximize market penetration.
  • Leverage CRM to manage opportunities, application details and large account management.
  • Actively participate in Thermal Management events and trade shows.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Marketing, Engineering or related business, science or engineering degree (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years in customer facing technical or sales roles.
  • Fluent and effective written and oral communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
  • Solid negotiating skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organizations including specifying engineers, purchasing, and upper management.
  • Professional self-starter who thrives in working in an autonomous environment. 
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • A solid sales acumen, with the ability to promote “value.”
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer centric mentality.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain formal programs for large account management.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Ability to leverage social media.

 

Travel:     

  • Up to 50%, primarily Southeast Asia, but will cover all of APAC.
