Job Summary:

The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for conducting IT based Internal audits. This position will assist the Audit Lead in the planning of individual audits, gathering/analyzing information as necessary to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the infrastructure, network, data storage, data transmission controls. The Senior IT Auditor will also be responsible for the interpretation of the test results and the oral and written communication of the audit results to the Operating Companies.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Review network configuration (firewall, IDS, IPS), data transmission controls, End-point protection installed at Operating Company locations highlighting key risks and gaps.
  • Conduct review of cloud architecture / infrastructure / web applications highlighting risks and relevant mitigation controls
  • Perform IT SOX Audits covering testing for IT general controls (ITGC) and IT application controls (ITAC) for ERP applications and supporting IT infrastructure.
  • Testing/Evaluation of System Generated Reports - Custom and Standard from different ERPs which has been used by for Audit purpose
  • Work with the engagement team to document the business processes dependent on information technology and creating applicable workpapers deliverables.
  • Discusses irregularities, exceptions, and deficiencies discovered during the audit jointly with Lead Auditor and/or Director with the operating company’s supervisory personnel. Utilizes judgment and experience to assess the associated risk of the issues as to impact on conclusions.
  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems.
  • Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team
  • Reviews staff audit work and provides timely feedback if documentation is not relevant, thorough, accurate, and/or adequately supported.
  • Participate in a consulting role on various IT projects / implementations and initiatives to provide audit perspective and guidance to management team.



Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or similar field
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in IT Audit or IT Security
  • Strong IT Infrastructure / Networks / Firewall configuration experience
  • Knowledge of basic IT General Controls for ERP systems and supporting databases
  • Competent with best industry standards, regulations, framework requirements: ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Security Framework, Cloud Security Alliance, Privacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one certification (e.g. CISA/ CISSP/ CISM/ CIPP/ ISO 27001)
  • Experience with Web Applications and Cloud based solutions is a plus
  • Big four auditing experience
