Develop and drive local sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, and cost savings for the organization and ensure representation of global initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop market knowledge and determine current and future material projections.
• Evaluate suppliers and vendor performance to conform to quality expectations and identify areas of improvements.
• Resolve vendor issues related to inbound freight, damage, labeling and deviations from quantities and products ordered.
• Negotiate and contract best alternatives for materials and services.
• Implement and sustain contracts.
• Implement improved purchasing methods to reduce costs through alternative and cost-effective processes.
• Support inventory reduction initiatives.  Regularly review and maintain target inventory levels and take action to avoid shortages, out of stock material and backorders.
• Adhere and deploy the global SWEP sourcing strategies and master the global purchasing processes.
• Drive complete and accurate processing of purchase orders, credits and charge backs.
• Actively participate in new product development and transfer projects.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree is desired or 10+ years related work experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in manufacturing, purchasing, or related job function
• Supplier sourcing experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ERP, and internet.
