The Facilities and Mainenance Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the physical environment of a facility, ensuring its safety, and managing related operations and budgets. This includes overseeing maintenance, repairs, and renovations, as well as managing staff, contractors, and vendors involved in facility services.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Perform, optimize, and develop maintenance processes for equipment/facilities to secure cost, output, quality and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Oversee and coordinate routine maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, grounds keeping).
- Manage the repair equipment and machinery, including HVAC, lighting, and other systems.
- Supervise contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures for maintenance.
- Facilities Management
- Manage space planning, allocation, and usage.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for facility services.
- Staff & Operations
- Supervise and manage facility staff
- Develop and implement facility policies and procedures.
- Safety & Compliance of Maintenance
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay current regarding changes and updates for directives, standards, and legal requirements connected to maintenance/facilities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Allocate resources for safety training, equipment, and facility improvements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address safety risks.
- Foster a culture of safety and enforce accountability for violations.
- Strategic Planning
- Participate in new investments and support process development projects.
- Assist with developing long-term plans for facility improvements and capital projects.
- Monitor and evaluate facility performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive Continuous Improvements, 6S, Visual management and standard work within the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong technical skills and knowlege of building systems, maintenance and repari.
- Experience in managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards.
- At least three years of relevant experience
