Logistics/Warehouse Operator - weekend shift

Operate forklifts, manipulate materials, incoming goods and finished goods, supply production, load and un-load trucks. Perform other duties as per request within agreed job competences.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a forklift or other lifting devices to transport, load, unload product and materials around the plant.
  • Preparation of goods for shipment in advance based upon issued documents.
  • Assists in receiving, checking, documenting, and storing incoming products
  • Assists in conducting physical inventories
  • Maintain inventory and assist in conducting annual physical inventory.
  • Responsible for the receipt, recording, and disbursement of materials and supplies.
  • Responsible for refilling press lines with steel & copper coils according to planning requirements.
  • Responsible for refilling connections, foil/steel/copper plated rings, stud bolts, packing material and other parts based on operational needs in manufacturing cells.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of direct materials/components and investigating variances.
  • Investigate storage issues using PFEP to determine adequate and dedicated storage locations for new/existing parts to support current supply and future growth.
  • Perform routine equipment servicing/control, such as attaching a battery charger and checking for safety of operations.
  • Responsible for the receipt, recording, and disbursement of materials and supplies.
  • Loading bay to be kept tidy and in good condition.
  • Follow all safety rules, procedures, and instructions.
  • Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices to supervisors immediately.
  • Participate in safety training and drills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certified

  • Capable and willing to follow procedures

Weekend shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6AM to 6:30PM
