Responsibilities:
• Creating, optimizing, and balancing the flow of machines and equipment to secure cost, output, quality, and availability based on current demand of products and volumes together with Operational Excellence and Global Engineering
• Mapping the production process for an overview to plan future process improvements
• Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering and Tooling departments to maintain a safe, happy, well-organized, efficient, and collaborative work environment and pipeline of future leaders.
• Responsible for Master Data (Process times, Maintenance Assets, and other associated data).
• Develop and manage the department’s budget, controlling costs, while meeting production goals.
• Drive and support Continuous Improvement efforts like 6S.
• Supporting/leading cross-functional technology/product/tool groups within Engineering
• Support implementation of major investments projects. Lead projects, support major investments and machine maintenance activities.
• Lead projects, support major investments, and support maintenance related projects.
• Managing customizing requests within manufacturing process.
• Implementing FMEA and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Together with maintenance technicians supply and develop maintenance programs for machines and equipment.
• Maintaining OEE system, evaluating results and taking actions to improve machine availability or eliminate quality issues caused by process failure.
• Manage service and manufacturing of press/cut-tools.
• Perform, optimize, and develop processes for service and manufacturing of cut/press tools to secure cost, output, quality, and availability.
• Participate in and setting/verifying the production process in New Product Development projects.
• Long term development and planning of plant manufacturing processes together with Engineering Manager
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Allocate resources for safety training, equipment, and facility improvements.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address safety risks.
• Foster a culture of safety and enforce accountability for violations.
Qualifications:
• Relevant Engineering degree (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical)
• Good command of written
• At least 5 years of work experience in manufacturing
• Proven Leadership experience and capability
• Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, internet, and email.
• Experience in managing new projects.
• Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.
• Effective communication skills
