Drive quality and compliance related to SWEP policies and programs to support the operations key performance indicators.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development, improvement, and maintenance of quality evaluations, and procedures for processing materials, components, and finished goods.
- Organize, Interpret, and deliver statistical data to drive quality and process improvement projects utilizing problem solving methodology.
- Lead corrective actions in accordance with SWEP requirements including documentation for warranty claims process for operations line failure investigations.
- Implement and maintain internal audit scheduling, training, and direct internal audit team.
- Collaborate with operations for data analysis to support internal and external quality improvement and reporting.
- Manage approval process for production parts to ensure requirements are met for new or modified products, components, and processes.
- Drive product and process quality improvement for incoming material, production control, and product evaluation
- Provide the technique and guidance for selecting and implementing the appropriate approach to study the effects of significant factors affecting quality.
- Design and conduct periodic audits of quality system procedures, standard operating procedures, and purchased components to ensure compliance with quality system requirements and appropriate specifications.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and instructions.
- Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR 5 years related work experience in lieu of degree with Associates/Technical Degree in related disciplined
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
- Lean/6 Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Project management skills preferred.
- 9001experience required
- ASME experience desired
- Internal auditor experience required
