This position is accountable to the Director, Supply Chain with responsibility for purchasing, sourcing, material control, inventory management and logistics from domestic and international suppliers for all TWG brands.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supervision of department employees to include the overall direction, mentoring and training.
  • Manage and facilitate all facets of materials management activities and relationship between group business units and their suppliers.
  • Implement sourcing strategies to support corporate and divisional objectives, providing the company competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies, and services
  • Maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand company-wide needs and evaluate suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
  • Managing and optimizing supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership
  • Maintains and promotes sound relationships with suppliers and the business community
  • Work with Dover Global Sourcing (DGS) group to obtain the lowest total cost of ownership of materials and services.
  • Seek opportunities to leverage spend and volume to mitigate cost increases across TWG business units and in conjunction with Dover as appropriate
  • Implement processes to ensure continuity of supply at the lowest possible supply chain cost while supporting Dover and TWG metrics including but not limited to inventory turns and on time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within the supply chains. Proposes and implements improvements to sourcing policies
  • Acts as the liaison between suppliers and TWG business units as called upon
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of industry and commodity knowledge, handles special projects and other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, demonstrated successful experience in materials management of industrial manufacturing products; or combination of education and experience. 
  • Preferred: Advanced degree or additional coursework, Project management certification, CPM or CPIM accreditation.
  • Must be able to travel as required and /or directed.
