Provides administrative and office support activities for Cook Compression.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Purchase supplies, tooling, material and inventory
  • Collaborate as necessary with Cook Compression facility and functional leadership
  • Collaborate with regional sales staff to develop customer base, develop monthly and annual sales forecasts, and then working to deliver product and service to meet or exceed those forecasts
  • Coordinate resources to satisfy both internal and external customers; to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast paced environment that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations
  • Overseeing and review purchasing, SRO and job entry, pricing, quotes, estimates, and quality issues
  • Train and orient new employees and Cross-train employees in the office
  • Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with all Federal, State, and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinances
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Provides customers with premium care, with a sense of urgency
  • Updates customer order status reports and milestones
  • Addresses inquiries regarding product pricing, availability, concerns and problems
  • Initiates orders with the customer or recommends order changes based on account and manufacturing knowledge
  • Interacts with internal departments to research and resolve customer problems
  • Works in a team environment to meet business objectives and goals
  • Manages sales and transfer orders from order to cash. Order to Cash process will include but not be limited to:
    • Product and Order Research and Pricing
    • Quote and Order Generation and Tracking
  • Prepare file for invoicing and ensure accuracy and compliance with all revenue recognition standards and customer purchase order requirements
  • Order Expediting
  • Doc Trak Documents
  • Communicates with regional sales team for status of order and position of sales
  • Provides sales and administrative support for pricing and invoicing
  • Prepares monthly, weekly or daily sales analysis
  • Prepares and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly order schedule to ensure on-time delivery of products
  • Monitors trends and evaluates the performance assessed against monthly sales goals
  • Maintains an efficient organized work environment.
  • Strives to maintain customer base, always looking for opportunities for growth and new business.
  • Provide a single point of contact for gathering or disseminating information concerning facility-related issues.
  • Maximize office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
  • Apply uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.
  • Prepare various reports for management as needed.
  • Notify Safety Team regarding medical/fire/police and other emergencies.
  • Coordinate emergency evacuations, when required.
  • Through coordination with the Safety Team:
    • Schedule fire drills as required by applicable codes
    • Report all damaged, inoperable, and missing fire safety equipment, signs and emergency evacuation plans.
    • Coordinate safety training.
  • Prepare orders for shipment and prepare shipping documentation in compliance with facility and customer requirements





  • High degree of organization and detail focus
  • Strong time management skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, especially production and inventory control
  • Accurate data entry skills along with proficiency with computer applications inclusive of Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with dynamic telephone presence
  • Should exert sound judgment, discretion and preserve confidentiality
  • Flexible to work during non-business hours
  • Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment




  • Associates degree in business related field preferred.
  • At least 2-4 years of prior experience in office administration required.
