<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the financial operations of a business unit including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, preparation of financial statements, financial forecasting and budgeting.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the information technology operations of a business unit including centralized operating systems hardware and software governing data processing and storage, telecommunications and business productivity applications

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Generally, this position requires department level responsibility for developing and meeting financial plans, business information systems plans and communicating with senior management and supporting departments to ensure a financially viable organization.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Typical Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participates in segment and local strategic planning processes
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Hires, motivates and evaluates the work of professionals and non professional accounting and information technology staff
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Prepares operational budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting budgetary documentation and justification
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Establishes or recommends major business unit economic strategies, objectives and policies
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develops and enforces business unit financial and accounting policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures to support the Corporate Code of Conduct and Ethics program
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Prepares monthly business unit financial statements and reports
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Facilitates yearly and ad hoc audits of financial records, policies and procedures
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develops and enforces policies and procedures with respect to import/export regulations
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions to support  operations of the business unit
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Monitors the use of company owned information technology and communication systems

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A four year degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field; preferably coursework in Computer Science
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Five to ten years experience managing and supervising the accounting and financial reporting functions of a business unit and at least one year of experience managing an information technology function at the supervisory level
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), Financial  Accounting Standards (FAS) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Certified Public Accountant designation preferable
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of current and applicable hardware and software technologies in support of business operations
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Able to communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external customers both orally and in writing is required
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of current and applicable hard and software technologies in support of business operations
