Summary:
The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP & CFO) is a key voice in developing and executing current and long-range financial and business strategies, both organic and inorganic. Additionally, the CFO will collaborate with Finance and other functional teams across the Pumps & Process Solutions segment and Dover enterprise, providing financial guidance and insight and ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial controls. The role is also responsible for managing the IT team and infrastructure for the business as well as leading Compliance and Ethics.
Responsibilities:
VP/CFO
- Apply best-in-class financial performance management practices including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, to drive top- and bottom-line performance and continuous improvement
- Interpret the financial performance of DPC’s businesses and regions by measuring and analyzing results, and initiating corrective actions
- Oversee all accounting and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with all appropriate Dover and government agency policies, accounting rules and regulatory requirement
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory actions
- Manufacturing business acumen with a record of increasing margins (pricing, cost controls) and assisting with challenging operational decisions (sourcing, make versus buy) on a global scale
- Oversee all accounting and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with all appropriate Dover and government agency policies, accounting rules and regulatory requirement

Strategy, Merger & Acquisition
- Partner with DPC’s President and leadership team to develop and implement strategic planning and continue to capitalize on new business and market opportunities
- Manage execution of DPC strategic projects and Dover enterprise-wide initiatives
- Involvement with strategic transactions (M&A and related activities) along with business integration experience
- Lead financial evaluation processes of M&A projects in close collaboration with Dover Corporate functions and DPC teams
Leadership
- Effectively lead and develop a high-performing global finance organization; mentor and develop the team in regards to talent management, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and enabling of effective teamwork
- Provide vision and leadership to continuously improve the long and short-range information system plans to support business objectives and key initiatives for DPC
- Establish healthy relationships with global DPC and Dover stakeholders
- Lead and coach the team in the areas of financial management, analysis, budgeting, planning, reporting and maintaining internal controls. Ensure effectiveness of cash and treasury matters, A/P, A/R, etc.
- Be a thought leader and make meaningful contributions to shape strategic thinking and directions
Compliance
- Experience managing trade compliance, including experience with DDTC requirements for export licensing, export controls, and ITAR programs
- Legal knowledge is helpful; must be comfortable dealing with contracts; and importantly, the ability to work astutely in commercial areas, including contracts, pricing, bids and quoting are all key to success in this role
Information Technology
- Experience with ERP systems and leadership of IT functions is desired
Minimum required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
- Demonstrated success in a complex, global manufacturing environment
The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- At least 10 years of progressive growth in Finance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- At least 2 years in a CFO or equivalent role preferred
- Strong accounting acumen including a proven track record of working effectively with the external audit firm(s); Working knowledge with statutory and management reporting, along with acquaintance of Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls is required; and strong internal controls knowledge and proven ability to establish and maintain strong internal control environments
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing a high-energy, high-quality finance, IT and Compliance team
- International experience and sophistication is required; able and willing to accommodate an international travel schedule
- Leadership role, in a similar business model and proven history of working with highly engineered products, capital equipment and similar industries is strongly preferred
