The Role


Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role is pivotal for Markem-Imaje in the development of new business and strategic sales for Victoria & Tasmania regions.

As our Sales Engineer, you will manage and lead a portfolio of local & strategic accounts, drive new sales opportunities, and support national accounts as required.

This is a dynamic role and therefore, you will be highly motivated, with excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills, who can work autonomously whilst also bringing together customers and internal departments to deliver a fantastic outcome


What you will do:

  • Meet annual sales targets through new business development and existing customers, mainly within the food + beverage industry.
  • Prospect for new opportunities through cold calling and generate new customer relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Execute high level of daily customer interaction
  • Grow territory revenue and market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop a sales plan that effectively and efficiently cover all accounts/verticals
  • Manage existing customer accounts and enhance customer satisfaction.


What you need to have:

  • Experienced at sales forecasting and negotiation skills.
  • Clear understanding of the market and competitors.
  • Experienced with customer & relationship management skills.
  • Ability to uncover clients’ needs through a consultative approach.
  • Experienced in lead and funnel management.
  • Excellent communicator, analytical and problem solver.
  • Sales driven, results oriented and a team player.
  • Degree in Business, or equivalent business experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry Sales experience in the related industry.
  • Ability to accurately maintain a CRM (
  • Experience selling software solutions will be looked upon favourably
