The Regional Materials Manager reports to the Global Demand Director located in our HQs in Geneva and is part of the Global Supply Chain organization.

In this role you will be using your strong influencing skills together with your considerable expertise to support the development of the supply chain organization within the EMEA Region.


As a key member of the Global Demand Management team, you will be expected to ensure a consistent execution of our Materials Management strategy across the region. You will also be required to leverage your expertise in championing projects and programs with a focus on inventory, delivery, and lead time optimization.

In addition, you will provide guidance to the regional supply chain, through the development and deployment of multi-year plans which ensure the achievement of the key Global Demand Management goals while ensuring an ongoing upskilling of the regional supply chain teams.


What you will do:


•             Lead Inventory Planning Initiatives, facilitating their development through engagement with regional and global colleagues.

•             Own the regional S&OP Process ensuring consistent execution of the cycle and strong alignment between global demand and EMEA regional capacity, through the leadership of the demand and supply reviews.

•             Consolidate the Regions Inventory and S&OP results and communicate to the global team, identifying variances versus the forecast. Drive mitigations to ensure overall attainment of the team’s commitments.

•             Drive monthly regional root cause reviews with a focus on driving functional excellence.

•             Manage specific global improvement initiatives, together with the global demand team, focused on end-to-end materials management execution and delivery excellence.

•             Support the development and adoption of global standard work across the region with a focus on continuous improvement across the execution supply chain.

•             Management of the regional deployment of a consistent Plan for Every Part methodology and ensure an ongoing measurable compliance review is in place.

•             Work closely with regional and global peers to support the development of supply chain competencies across the regional supply chain teams. 

•             Directly manage one Regional Inventory planned and provide functional guidance to the regions supply chain execution team.



What you need to have:


•             Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering, SCH or Science related subject.

•             Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a global or regional supply chain management role within a modern manufacturing organization.

•             Proven track record in inventory management (regional distribution network).

•             Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically across the end-to-end value chain.

•             Demonstrable experience of successful leadership of supply chain improvement projects. 

•             Strong ability to influence functional teams to ensure process and organizational development.

•             Proficient with Microsoft tools Excel (advanced pivot tables and macro).

•             Fluent in English.

•             Knowledge of BW, SAP or Power BI as a reporting tool is a plus.

•             APICS – CPIM/CSCP Certification or equivalent is a plus.

•             Lean Six Sigma Certification Preferable.
