The Role

We are looking for a passionate, open minded and confident engineer who wants to use their experience and skills, to be a member of a new innovative team, within a global company, developing next generation of products. You’ll be part of an entrepreneurial and agile team developing, implementing, validating, and maintaining FPGA and electrical/PCB designs for Markem-Imaje future printing systems with primary focus on lasers and will have an opportunity to work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products, from proof of concept to production, targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje. As Electronics Engineer you will be a part of the engineering team responsible for developing best in class solutions for marking and coding equipment. You will be responsible for electronic/electric systems development as well as developing digital and analog circuitry.
 

What you will do: 

• Design and test PCBAs to provide power and control laser systems.
• Support the manufacturing and sourcing teams 
• Drive quality and efficiency by setting an outstanding example of high-quality design, implementation, and validation in your individual work
• Research, champion, facilitate and improve best practices and tools to increase team efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
• Design electronic devices in the field of high technology
• Cooperation with the Purchasing and Planning departments and the company's warehouse in the field of assembling components for prototype assembly;
• Preparing and placing orders for components and sub-assemblies for prototypes;
• Participation in the assembly of prototypes;
• Preparation, verification and correction of BOMs;
• Preparation of documentation and projects of electronics, cable harnesses and automation for the production of devices;
• Assembly and testing of engineering prototypes at various stages of their development;
• Identify the root cause of any quality issues that occur during prototype assembly;
• Identification of design features causing technological problems and initiative in presenting proposals for their solution;
• Participation in the development of assembly instructions for devices;
• Participation in operator training and implementation of new products for production;
• Cooperation with engineers in assessing the designed construction solutions and their impact on the production process and applied technologies;
• Participation in the installation of machines at the Customer's

What you need to have:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in electronics development
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
• Strong technical skills in electronics/electric development, digital, embedded CPU, basic analog and interface board design
• Familiarity with the issues of ISO norms and standards
• Knowledge of the issues of standard communication interfaces in common equipment as well as in industrial applications
• Knowledge of C, Rust, C++, Python programming languages
• Knowledge of the Linux system and free movement in it
• Knowledge of programming and runtime environment for ARM family microcontrollers Experience in working with open source and commercial software is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the Altium Designer environment for designing electronic circuits from the schematic to the finished PCB
• Ability to generate production documentation for PCBs
• Patience and passion for the efficient creation of technical documentation, descriptions, instructions
• Ability to perform root cause analysis of complex hardware and software engineering problems.
• The ability to actively participate in discussions, the ability to convince people to their visions of problem solving.
