The Embedded Software Tester will have an opportunity to set-up the basis and drive the implementation of the testing environment and tools for Solaris Laser, part of Markem-Imaje: global leader in industrial printing environment. In this sense, you’ll be responsible for the overall Integration Testing, System Testing and Performance Testing of the embedded software for current and future laser printers.

 

 

What you will do:

 

•             Analyze, review and assess software requirements, specifications and models for testability.

•             Evaluate quality and performance of components and provide data for software metrics.

•             Create and execute automated tests. Prepare test data feeds and acquire test results.

•             Analyze logged results and document deviations from expected results

•             Collaborate effectively with remote team members and external partners in multiple global locations.

•             Participate in and lead design reviews and contribute to improvements in design and code quality produced by internal and external engineers.

 

 

What you need to have:

 

•             Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering

•             Experience with hands-on testing, test management tools and ability to complete test design and execution on time

•             Working experience with code analysis and refactoring tools.

•             Intermediate C++/C# knowledge including experience in a product development environment.

•             Configuration management skills such as revision control, continuous integration and deployment, automated build systems, release management, and technical documentation.

•             Knowledge and experience with verification skills such as test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, and defect characterization.

•             Experience with embedded software in an industrial printing domain is a plus.

•             Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows at programming and administrative level.

•             Knowledge and experience with the following tools is a plus: Boost_Test, Clang-tidy, Git, GCC, Cmake, Visual Studio, XML, Python.

•             Ability to work with limited direction as well as part of a cross-disciplinary, international, product development team.

•             Very good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including excellent English skills.
