In this role you’ll be… part of a global, cross-disciplinary, Agile team designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Solaris & Markem-Imaje current and future printers.

You’ll have an opportunity to… work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products, from proof of concept to production, across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of  Solaris & Markem-Imaje.

You should possess… at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related with a minimum of 5 years’ experience performing mechanical engineering and analysis on projects from concept through production launches.

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

• Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of high quality design collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global capacity (Poland, US, UK, France). 

• Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computers simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.

• Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities.

• Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices

• Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality.

• Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers.


Education and/or Experience of Candidate:


• Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in various mechanical engineering research and development roles within an industrial environment is required. Knowledge of marking and coding equipment is a plus, but not required.

• Experience designing industrial products from concept through production is required.

• Proven experience in CAD design (Autodesk Inventor is required; Creo/Windchill is a plus); thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing is required; and FEA/CFD analysis is a plus.

• Experience in a mechanical workshop is required.

• Basic managerial skills.

• Very good knowledge of materials requirements is required.

• Excellent Polish and English language skills are a must.

• Availability for occasional national, international travels and make machine installation.
