Product Certification Engineer

This role will be in the Dover Imaging and Identification Segment in Markem-Imaje that has built the world's most comprehensive Packaging Integrity & Brand Protection applications dedicated to protecting consumers, ensuring compliance and growing profits across the largest FMCG, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences and Extrusion companies. As a Hardware Safety and Product Compliance Engineer, you’ll be reporting to the Global Hardware Safety and Product Compliance Manager and be part of a Global Compliance team. Whilst collaborating with the local R&D organization, other regulatory compliance experts across the world and 3rd party laboratories for testing purposes, you’ll oversee the core certifications for all range of Laser products.

You’ll have an opportunity to be the main driver of the regulatory activities and procedures whilst being a link between R&D & external stakeholders and participating in cross-functional projects for new product development and current product lifecycles.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Participate in Laser product development leading the hardware regulatory certifications for Europe, USA, and Canada. (CE, UL/CSA, FCC, IC, ROHS, REACH…)
  • Work closely with the third-party laboratories (on/off site testing) and R&D experts to acquire the needed certifications
  • Prepare and support the project team by providing pre compliance guidelines and perform pre compliance test in safety and EMC during product design development stage
  • Proactively stay up to date on the standards, directives, and regulations applicable to your products to keep the products ranges conform
  • Inform/educate stake holders of any forecasted evolutions/changes to the standards, directives and regulations and lead associated projects
  • Assist the regional customer services or trade/importation services to support the business in regions
  • Ensure/maintain the safety conformity of products, by supporting inspection audits at factory or processes audits (ISO9001) in product compliance matter

What you need to have:

 

  • BS Degree in Sciences (preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
  • +5 years of experience in Safety, EMC standards/directives
  • Project management accreditation would be a plus (PMP, Prince2…)
  • Readiness to work from our current location at 39 Farbiarska Street in Warsaw till the 2nd quarter of 2025, when we are opening our new facility at 105 Katowicka Avenue in Kajetany.
  • Good knowledge of CE, UL/CSA, FCC, IC regulations including Machinery Directive, Low voltage directive, EMC Directive, RoHS and REACH
  • Experience in compliance assessment of industrial machines or industrial installations
  • Knowledge in laser technology would be a plus
  • Transversal management (capability to influence and convince others)
  • Strong ability to work in international cross functional teams
  • Fluent in English
