Site Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated SME - Site Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in supporting our production teams daily to ensure they perform efficiently while adhering to safety, quality, deadlines, inventory accuracy, and productivity standards (SQDIP).

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provide daily support to production teams to enhance safety, quality, delivery times, stock accuracy, and productivity
  • Identify and implement improvements in assembly processes and tools
  • Lead qualification of major developments and new processes
  • Collect and analyze production issues, using Root Cause Analysis, to manage resolutions of internal non-conformities with support from necessary teams (e.g., production, supplier managers)
  • Implement strategies to minimize levels of blocked stock and scrap, ensuring stock accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly quality/process reviews, establish corrective action plans with stakeholders, and monitor their execution
  • Handle customer complaints related to production issues and implement preventative solutions
  • Audit process applications and propose tool and process enhancements prior to the pre-production phase to ensure operational efficiency
  • Validate operating procedures and production records and write process qualification reports.
  • Integrate food safety standards (BRCGS Packaging) into processes as per HSE department guidelines

 

What you need to have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in similar position working with manual assembly processes
  • Basic project management skills
  • Operational knowledge of mechanics and electricity
  • Experience with continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., LDM, PDCA, 8D, 5S)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication in English
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP is an advantage
