Position Summary:

This is a critical position in Data Science and Analytics pillar within Dover Digital Labs, a corporate function of Dover corporation.


We are looking for a high-energy, data-driven individual who is proficient in continuous improvement processes for developing and executing on innovative analytics opportunities, and who can drive transformational change within a complex manufacturing organization.


The ideal candidate will have proven experience in devising and implementing large scale change management projects that addressed a diverse manufacturing organization’s Go To Market strategy, in a financially meaningful manner. S/he would have conducted workshops with senior leadership to staff members, performed stakeholder analysis, mapped size of opportunities, deep-dove using internally generated and externally collated data, driven prioritization decisions based on facts and intuition, drawn out detailed change management plans, and executed on multiple large scale business transformation programs with clear line of sight to business value realization within strict time lines and resources. The individual would have worked with IT and data science teams in the back-end and brought in industry insights to complement internal data and metrics to make data-driven


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, lead and drive strategic and tactical business transformation programs in Go To Market space for multiple Dover operating companies
  • Drive and deliver end-to-end analytics as a strategic corporate function addressing commercial process improvement
  • Improve Go To Market performance through advanced analytics, and nurturing relationships with leadership and staff at operating companies, tight program management, and implementation of tools and methods such Lean and Six Sigma
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops, and synthesize IT transaction data analysis, as well as insights from external industry knowledge to develop targeted commercial process improvement plans
  • Implement and strengthen company processes to ensure master as well as transaction data accuracy, and define countermeasures where needed to correct short-falls as continuous improvement processes
  • Define commercial process improvement roadmap through external benchmarking; obtain and analyze market intelligence such as supplier, customer and competitor data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Communicate with the Dover Digital platform team members of data science, data lake, software engineering, finance, and the operating company stakeholders in the planning, organization, and evaluation of the Company’s commercial process improvement opportunities
  • Manage the end-to-end solution development, delivery, and maintenance of the process improvement programs


Qualifications / Requirements/Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree, MS and/or MBA, or equivalent in Finance, IT, or a relevant engineering or business discipline. 
  • 10+ years of working experience in Business Process Re-engineering / Optimization, e-Commerce, finance, supply chain, procurement and/or logistics, preferably in manufacturing and 5+ years’ experience in leadership role
  • Expertise in multiple Business IT systems (ERP, CRM, MDM, SIOP, Field Service etc), especially in Order to Cash cycles
  • Project management expertise, Lean and Six Sigma
  • Interfaces with wide array of individuals across multiple levels and functions, balances multiple tasks and maintains positive attitude and energy
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability and highly objective oriented
  • Self-starter with ability to problem solve proactively, and strong attention to detail
  • Clear, concise and articulate communication skills - verbal, written and listening
  • Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win right
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to think big, act small and scale fast
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI / Tableau knowledge; functional knowledge of AI/ML algorithms; working knowledge in R / Python a plus
