In this role you’ll be… part of a global, cross-disciplinary, agile team designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem-Imaje current and future printers.

You’ll have an opportunity to… work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products, from proof of concept to production, across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.

You should possess… at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience, performing mechanical engineering and analysis on projects from concept through production launches.

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

•Develop and support electromechanical inkjet printers used in the global marking and coding industry.

•Work within the Mechanical Engineering team and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global community (NORTH AMERICA & EUROPE).

•Perform and lead CAD design, Engineering simulations, Prototype builds and Lab experiments in support of validation of quality and reliability targets.

•Ability to work as a team member on a multi-discipline team, or independently.

•Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities.

•Apply strong mechanical engineering development practices (such as advanced fabrication methods, material selection, rapid prototyping, reliability studies, FEA/CFD simulation, etc.).

•Follow best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality.

•Communication and interpersonal skills are required to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers.

Education and/or Experience of Candidate:

•Bachelor with 5 years experience -or- Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience.

•Experience designing industrial products through production is a plus, but not required.

•Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill) preferred, but not required.

•Solid foundations in the following disciplines: heat transfer, fluid mechanics, electromechanical actuators and sensors, conventional machining techniques.

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Experience with 3D manufacturing and precision part casting is a plus.

• Attention to detail

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $90,000.00   - $130,000.00
